Job Summary:

The Wireless Network Engineer I role specializes in the maintenance of the corporate wireless network and delivering enterprise solutions through RF design and deployment. They will provide troubleshooting support for end users with mobile devices and handheld assets.

Responsibilities:

• Performs wireless site surveys and RF design

• Assesses and diagnoses the health of a large scale wireless network across a global SDWAN

• Maintains excellent communication with all end users and management

• Provides end user training for mobile devices connecting to the wireless network

• Assists with deploying new build outs and move, add, change requests

• Keeps informed of current standards, codes, and procedures applied to wireless infrastructure and technologies

• Assists in the preparation of documentation, diagrams, or reports

• Performs other job-related duties, as assigned

Requirements:

• Knowledge of L2 and L3 network technologies (dhcp, vlan tagging, spanning tree, 802.1q trunking, ospf, ipv4, ipv6, etc.)

• Knowledge of security technologies (vpn, firewalls, dot1x, etc.)

• Excellent knowledge of wireless technologies (802.11)

• Mobile Device Management (MDM)

• Ruckus Wireless SmartZone experience

• Knowledge of Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)

• Strong technical and communication skills with an aptitude and motivation to continuously learn

• 3+ years of experience in utilization of the above

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Cisco Meraki

• Knowledge of Cisco ISE (ver3.1+)

• Knowledge of Aruba Switches or Wireless appliances

• Experience with Juniper EX Switches

• Prior experience with Ivanti/Neurons
