So what does a Community Lead really do? Think of yourself as someone who will exude energy, friendliness, creativity, and collaboration, so not everyone can qualify for this role. As a Community Lead, you will be the first point of contact for TaskUs for our Community Ambassadors. You will provide administrative support across the organization while supporting and leading your team. They will have great leadership skills to oversee the office management tasks and a small team of 2+ Community Ambassadors.  They will assign work, provide direction, and ensure tasks are completed, as well as monitor the performance of their team and provide feedback and performance evaluations. The Community Lead would manage the external vendor relationship with regard to the site and employee participation. They will be responsible for a variety of financial records such as petty cash funds, purchase orders, and check requisitions, while providing input into budget formulations.  They will maintain our client and program information using spreadsheets or database software.

As a Community Lead, you will:

First Point of Contact for Community Ambassadors:

  • Handle a set of Community Ambassadors

  • Offer guidance, support, and clear communication to ensure they are well-equipped to fulfill their roles.

Administrative Support:

  • Responsible for overseeing a range of administrative functions that support the smooth operation of the organization.

  • This could include everything from managing schedules and supplies to ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Leadership skills are critical in this role as you'll oversee a small team (usually 2+ Community Ambassadors). This includes:

    • Assigning tasks and ensuring they are completed effectively.

    • Providing direction and guidance to maintain high standards of work.

    • Monitoring the performance of your team members, giving feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.

    • Supporting the development and growth of your team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Vendor Relationship Management:

  • In charge of managing relationships with external vendors, which may involve negotiating contracts, handling services for office management (such as maintenance, supplies, or events), and ensuring that vendor services align with the company’s needs and standards.

Financial Responsibility:

  • Handling financial records like petty cash funds, purchase orders, and check requisitions.

  • Provide input during budget planning, ensuring that the budget reflects the needs of your team and community-related initiatives.

Data and Program Management:

  • Maintaining and updating client and program-related data using spreadsheets or database software. This data management ensures transparency, accuracy, and organization of essential information related to community activities and broader company programs.

Do you have what it takes to become a Community Ambassador Lead?

Requirements:

  • At least 3+ years of administrative and/or hospitality experience

  • At least 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience.

  • High level of Emotional Intelligence and can keep up with changes and new directions.

  • Ability to de-escalate high level situations among other departments.

  •  with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and an understanding of the Google Suite would be a plus

  • Capable of working with different nationalities and cultures.

  • Understand the business needs from the planning stage, execution on or during the request until expectations are met.

  • Operates with excellent customer service to requestors while Doing More with Less.

  • Must be up to date on the current trends of their LOBs. 

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment in a very calm and professional manner. 

  • Extremely good communication skills in writing emails, etc.
