Here at Skipton Building Society, we have an exciting new opportunity for a highly motivated Digital SharePoint Consultant to join our experienced and passionate SharePoint Team, sitting withing the wider Digital function of the business. 

 

You will collaborate with various teams and subject matter experts across the business such as IT, Engineering and other stakeholders throughout Technology and wider business areas. Your role will be to deliver quality solutions using SharePoint Online, for teams and colleagues, providing colleague support and education regarding SharePoint Online capabilities, in line with team aspirations.

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • You’ll be responsible for reviewing and completing work requests received into the Digital Team from a variety of teams across the Society.  These will include requests that require new set up or configuration, updates, problem and issue triage. You will also be involved in supporting platform changes working with Engineering and IT teams. 

  • Used to following guidelines, you will be able to review and action requests in line with agreed Digital responsibilities and operating model. Collaboration with multiple stakeholders across the business is key to understanding the needs of the different business areas and advising on the best course of action within SharePoint, assisting and creating where necessary.

  • You will need to be ‘hands on’ to support cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team by contributing to documentation, standards, process, procedure and guides. 

  • we are looking for someone who is focussed on our internal customers, able to understand and digest their needs and offer a solution, giving them the right level of support or permission. Communication skills and ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships both within and across different teams is important. 

  • You should have great attention to detail and a desire for quality. Open to feedback so you can identify and provide improvements to process, configuration options and ways of working. 

What Do We Need from You? 

  • Use of Sharepoint  and Sharepoint Admin Centre features and capabilities effectively as a business user with elevated permissions. 

  • able to complete and prioritse work requests to meet different deadlines and priorities.  

  • Ability to follow user guides, processes and use Out of the Box solutions to meet requirements. 

  • Ability to communicate technical issues or terms to non-technical colleagues and stakeholders. 

  • Problem solving to investigate and understand incorrect set up or usage of Sharepoint. 

  • A flexible approach to subject matter and the confidence to manage and deliver several tasks simultaneously. 

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across teams and areas of the business. 

  • Sharepoint Online capabilities and configuration as a business user. 

  • Sharepoint Admin Centre, administration rights, permissions and levels of access controls used across IT and Business functions. 

  • Knowlegdge of work request and ticketing systems such as EasyVista or something similar. 

  • Sharepoint and website analytics analysis to understand user behaviour and usage. 

  • Using Sharepointand Admin configuration to create, set up, configure sites and features in the platform. 

  • Supporting and educating business users in understanding and using Sharepoint capabilities and features. 

  • Troubleshooting and investigating issues, identifying solutions, restrictions and following best practise for the platform. 

  • Creating standards, process flows and user guides for platform features.
