The Apps Support Intmd Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.

Responsibilities:

  • The Apps Support Intmd Analyst provides technical and business support for users of Citi Applcations.
  • Utilizes good understanding of apps support procedures and concepts and basic knowledge of other technical areas to field issues and queries from stakeholders, provide short-term resolutions and work with relevant technology partners for long term remediation.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of how areas of apps support collectively integrate to contribute to achieving business goals.
  • Act as a liaison between users/traders, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors
  • Participates in disaster recovery testing
  • Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production.
  • perform post release checkouts after application releases and infrastructure updates. Develop and maintain technical support documentation.
  • Considers implications of the application of technology to the current environment.
  • Analyzes applications to identify risks, vulnerabilities and security issues.
  • Makes evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information; resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions Cooperation with Development colleagues to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements.
  • Directly impacts the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams.

  • Active involvement in and ownership of Support Project items, covering Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness initiatives.
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned in a concise and logical manner.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 4-8 years experience
  • Domain Knowledge: Investment bank knowledge is needed.

  • Basic knowledge or interest about apps support procedures, concepts and of other technical areas.
  • Participation in some process improvements.
  • Previous experience or interest in standardization of procedures and practices.
  • Basic Business knowledge/ understanding of financial markets and products.
  • Knowledge/ experience of problem Management Tools.
  • Understands of how own sub-function integrates within the function and commercial awareness
  • Evaluates (sometimes complex) situations using multiple sources of information Developed communication and diplomacy skills to persuade and influence
  • Good customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of the business and its technology strategy

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

  • We are searching for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person for the role of the Apps Support Analyst for OTC suite of technology for multiple lines of businesses who applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function.
  • You will be required to have good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Have strong communication and diplomacy skills are required and regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams.
  • You will be required to work closely with operations and technology partners, business partners, developing application knowledge, driving and tracking projects around stability and service improvement, incident resolution and providing strategic technical solutions.
  • You will develop detailed knowledge of multiple business areas and functions, coupled with cutting edge technologies in this exciting opportunity.
  • You will be working closely with your counterparts in India, Singapore, UK, and Canada operating in a follow-the-sun global model, along with application developers and business analysts in the team.


Responsibilities:

-The Application Support Analyst provides technical and business support for users of Citi Applications. This includes providing quick resolutions to app issues, driving stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements to help us and the business succeed.
-Ability to manage incidents. Calm and analytical when faced with major incidents on critical systems.
-Focus on the process improvement to automate existing process and Identify ways to maximize the potential of the applications used.
-Communicate effectively with operations and technology partners on a regional or global basis.
-Performs controlled resolution of incidents and problems including prioritization and escalation to relevant groups when appropriate, root cause analysis of all problems with follow-through to resolution.
-Partners with appropriate development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements..
-Ensures essential procedures are followed and helps to define operating standards and processes.
-Exhibits sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.
-Active involvement in and ownership of Support Project items, covering Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness initiatives.
-Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
-Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

Qualifications:

-4 - 7 years experience in an Application Support role.
-Good interpersonal and communication skills, great teammate.
-Experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications or demonstrate willing to learn.
-Experience with some programming languages and willingness/ability to learn.
-Execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
-Effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand.
-Issue tracking and reporting using tools
-Good all-round technical skills & analytical skills.
-UNIX (Linux) environment knowledge.
-Databases – Oracle, Microsoft SQL.
-Knowledge on Geneos ITRS monitoring would be an added advantage
