Position Summary:

The Assistant Field Merchant Manager will report to the Executive Director of Field merchandising to lead project-based work and manage a team of Analysts to create continuity supporting the Direct Store Delivered network. The position is Hybrid – 2 days from Home and 3 days from the office located in Woonsocket RI. The Assistant Field Merchant Manager will develop and lead Direct Store Delivered execution strategies within the consumable and general merchandise business unit. The Assistant Field Merchant Manager will collaborate and manage centralized communication on behalf of the Field Merchant team across cross functional teams.

Responsibilities

Drive In -Market Execution Strategies  

Develop and Support planning related to product, promotion, seasonal, and off shelf programming.

  • Collaborate with Category Managers to drive new and current initiatives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement new business process to improve efficiencies in execution.   
  • Lead communication of all Direct Store Delivered with all store Project Activity (New, Remodels and New Markets)

Maintain Distributor Continuity and Performance

  • Manage vendor reporting suites to develop exception-based information for field merchant follow up and actions.
  • Manage Tactiq Field Execution Managers and provide oversight to the FMM team.
  • Build and maintain consistency of our Direct Store Delivered supply channel partners through collaboration with your field merchant team and local supply chain.
  • Drive efficiencies in Direct Store Delivered consolidation
  •  Capitalize on Localization

Communications and Partnerships

  • Communicate and execute category merchant strategic plans in partnership with Store Operations
  • Maintain positive trade relations with Direct Store Delivered distributor partners and while ensuring adherence to service standards for Direct Store Delivered businesses.
  • Lead team of Analysts to improve continuity and Skill level.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ Years Experience in Managing Direct Store Delivered Supply Chain
  • 5+ years in Multi Unit Leadership
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple concurrent initiatives that have significant fiscal impact.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to synthesize facts and insights into concrete, actionable strategies, and tactical plans.
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Results driven, with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong cross-boundary abilities with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively across organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to travel as necessary is required. Up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ Years Experience in Managing DSD Supply Chain
  • 10+ years in Multi Unit Leadership

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or five plus years equivalent experience in managing Direct Store Delivered Supply Chain and multi- Unit store leadership experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
