About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager who will lead our bench team of Account Executives in Tax & Accounting, selling to our Mid-Market firm clients. You will be focused on our products that offer intuitive tax offerings & tax workflow automation, such as Checkpoint Edge & UltraTax.
As the Sales Manager, you will:
Proactively source, recruit, and hire top-tier sales talent for placement into territory-based sales roles.
Partner with internal training teams to ensure a comprehensive onboarding that equips new hires with the knowledge, skills, and resources to excel.
Guide new sales representatives through their initial training period, ensuring a smooth ramp-up to full productivity.
Provide ongoing coaching and leadership to new sales executives, focusing on product knowledge, sales methodology, and industry best practices.
Identify and address individual development needs to ensure continuous improvement and accelerate their sales trajectory.
Collaborate with sales leadership to align training and readiness for deployment into territory.
Facilitate the successful transition of fully ramped sales representatives into open territories across the organization.
Manage a pool of sales representatives who are prepared to provide temporary coverage in open territories or high-need areas.
Oversee and drive sales results for the sales team, ensuring they contribute to revenue generation while preparing for territory placement.
About You
2+ years experience leading a Sales Team is preferred
Track record of success selling software to Tax Professionals is preferred
Planning and goal setting with individual reps, territory management experience, relationship building skills, selling skills (identity, develop and articulate a complex proposition/consultative selling), strong negotiation skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to use a variety of technology with a high level of proficiency
Strong understanding of Tax Professional customers and their business model and workflows preferred
Problem solving – ability to understand and solve client needs
Reporting on market and competitor activities
Presentations across internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
Ensure key metrics are tracked such as active users, user logon, usage metric and overall retention rates
