Overview:

Responsible for managing commercial relationships with institutional clients, debt and credit funds, REIT's and private lenders, nationally. This will include managing a staff of relationship managers and may include developing and servicing significant client relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Responsibility: Responsible for growing the net interest income and fee income for the team.
  • Risk Management: Responsible for the credit quality of the team and keeping senior management abreast of deteriorating credits and identification of trends. Provide oversight of negotiations for all transactions handled by the team. Negotiate, structure and approve loans and terms within lending limits.
  • Staff Development: Responsible for training and coaching the team. Provide support to RMs for their development. Build bench strength within the group.
  • Sales Management: Responsible for managing the sales process.
  • Represents the Bank in civic and community activities.
  • Exercise the authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for risk management, staff development and sales management of team.

Supervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities:

Manage a staff of relationship managers.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's Degree or four years relevant experience.

Ten year's commercial lending experience.

Previous sales management experience.

Knowledge of banking credit principals. 

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Outstanding interpersonal skills. 

Relationship Management skills. 

FINRA licenses 79 or 7 and 63 must be obtained within 6 months of hire

Education and Experience Preferred:

MBA Preferred.

Applied knowledge of Bank policies and procedures.

Proven track record of sales achievement. 

Formal credit training
