Bank of America Merrill Lynch Investment Solutions Group is seeking an experienced sales professional to join the Capital Markets organization.  The position will primarily be focused on the sales, marketing, and education of Market Linked Investments (structured notes) to Financial Advisors in Florida. The position will also be responsible for servicing existing client assets and assisting with the prospecting of high-net-worth investors.

Job Description:
The Market Linked Investment (structured notes) Specialists train and support Financial Advisors (FA) in the appropriate recommendation and utilization of Market Linked Investment (structured notes) Products.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Being the subject matter expert on market linked investments (structured notes) to financial advisors in the territory.
  • Providing education and creating awareness to financial advisors regarding various capital markets solutions, including but not limited to, concentrated stock strategies, equity and fixed income trading as well as listed and OTC derivatives.
  • Staying current on investment trends impacting the broader financial markets, as well as the investment views coming from the firm’s CIO and Global Research department to educate Financial Advisors and determine actionable ideas to express those views.
  • Creating and executing a business strategy that allows the candidate to work independently in the territory alongside local Wealth Management market leadership.  The business strategy will also include working closely with other members of the ISG specialist team and Capital Markets home office colleagues.
  • Actively participate in Financial Advisor meetings with high-net-worth clients and prospects
  • Staying current on trends impacting both the broader financial markets and alternative investment strategies in order to educate our clients and Advisors on underlying manager performance and the importance of diversification.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of financial services product and/or sales experience
  • Ability to travel throughout coverage area (3-4 days a week)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated individual with a passion for capital markets
  • Current FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses required, or ability to obtain within 120 days of start date

Desired Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Marketing or Business Administration (CFA, CAIA or MBA a plus)
  • Knowledge/experience with capital markets solutions, with an understanding of Market Linked Investments (structured notes)
