The Sale Training & Strategy Director will be responsible for increasing the overall performance of the sales team by giving sales employees the right tools, skills, and knowledge to be successful. This position will assist the CSO in forecasting business numbers and create action plans to ensure sales targets are achieved. This role is pivotal in driving sales effectiveness and ensuring the sales team is well-equipped to meet business goals. This position will report to the Chief Sales Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a Global Sales Strategy by working with Sales Leadership to own and drive key initiatives and projects.
- Develop an understanding and staying current with the competitive landscape.
- Develop and manage executive reporting on key metrics, formulate actionable insights and prioritize issues.
- Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis, yet translate those results to easily digestible messages, communications and presentations.
- Motivate, coach and mentor the sales to grow both existing accounts and capture new business.
- Work transversely across the organization and with all relevant departments and stakeholders to assess, recommend, prioritize and implement sales training solutions aligned with business needs.
- Design, develop and continuously advance training curriculum for the sales team with a focus on product, selling skills, market environment and account management.
- Collaborate with appropriate team members to identify and analyze needs/skill gaps with the purpose of building appropriate and timely training solutions.
- Achieve quarterly and annual revenue and growth targets by establishing sales goals and monitoring the status of the goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of sales training design and delivery experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales analytics and or strategy experience.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to adapt messaging and content to various types and levels of audience.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven success in hitting KPIs, growth strategy, developing strategic business plans, building client relationships and retaining key accounts.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in business or similar field.
- People management experience.
- Building a team or department from the ground up.
