In order to further strengthen our Finance team in Poland, we are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Warsaw office.

This role requires fluent cross functional communication in English and Polish. Therefore please upload your CV in English only. Interviews will be conducted fully in English.

Scope of the role

  • Support region with 3 different distribution models, concentrating on organic business growth as well as expansion via new product launches and new distribution channels
  • Measure and analyse the delivery of revenue growth targets through the execution of sales and marketing strategies, whilst ensuring proper ROI and control of pricing realization, marketing investment and overhead cost
  • Take part in control of cash delivery via credit limit management and payment terms optimization
  • In collaboration with the Group Accounting teams, assure accurate bookkeeping and timely IFRS reporting
  • This role reports to the Senior Business Controller Eastern Europe

Your Responsibilities in Detail

  • Provide Finance Business Partnership to MD Poland
  • Act as a SPOC for all finance related queries to Sales and Marketing Teams in Poland
  • Support the Sr. Business Controller with their responsibilities in Eastern Europe
  • Drive profit margin expansion through optimization of product mix, pricing and go-to-market channels
  • Build and support implementation of consistent pricing strategy based on market specifics
  • Own Financial planning process by creating Annual Plans and Monthly Rolling Forecasts in close collaboration with the local and regional Sales and Marketing teams and in line with Group Controlling guidelines
  • Participate in month-end closing process, build accruals for trade discounts, marketing as well as overhead cost and track spending against it
  • Oversee Marketing investment and SG&A expenses vs. annual plans and forecasts
  • Analyse and review actual sell-in / sell-out results and variance drivers vs. plans / forecasts / prior year and provide suggestions to the Management team on an improvement action
  • Analyse different business cases / ad-hoc analysis - new product launches, new distribution channels, marketing strategies - and deliver multi-year financial business plans; also considering process and organizational questions
  • Report and analyse key Balance Sheet and Liquidity performance ratios, including full Cash flow analysis and forecasting, Working capital, Capex investments
  • Support development of financial systems / processes / capabilities within the team

Your Profile

  • 7+ years of experience in Commercial Controlling / FP&A (international FMCG is
    a plus) resulting in knowledge of P&L, Polish retail market and basis of revenue management
  • Fluent oral/written communication skills in English
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (incl. Power Query) is critical
  • Experience with SAP, SAC, SAP BW, Nielsen data would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to analyze Sales and Marketing data, financial performance of the business and translate it into the actionable insights
  • Strong communication/influencing skills with the ability to provide constructive challenges to the business partners
  • Ability and desire to redesign processes and systems to drive efficiencies
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and a hands-on attitude
  • Team player able to build cross-functional network within the matrix / regional organizations
