Role Purpose 职位目标

This position will lead the Medical Partnership team and oversee patient engagement and advocacy in China. This role is accountable of driving the designing and delivery of healthcare system support (HSS) and patient support program (PSS) of China Medical and providing process guidance and project management oversight across therapeutic areas to demonstrate GSK value of ambitious for patients.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities主要工作职责

This position is responsible for leading the medical partnership team to work with medical TAs, commercial BUs, external medical societies / patient organizations / key opinion leaders and other relevant internal functions to develop and deliver strategic HSS / PSP projects and patient engagement activities to improve disease management and patient support, with robust risk management and control mechanism embedded.

  • As the MP team leader, be accountable for driving team performance to deliver successful HSS/PSPs, patient affairs engagement.
  • Lead MP team in development of strategic HSS/PSP programs.
  • Identify unmet medical and patient needs (UMN)
  • Collaborate with TAHs and relevant stakeholders to design innovative project to address the UMN
  • Based on GSK policies and industry practices, provide suggestion to cooperation model, partner selection, etc
  • Set up matrix team and facilitate project planning, approval and execution.
  • Guide and support the effort of \internal governance approval.
  • Drive approval and contracting process in collaboration with legal/compliance/digital/medic/procurement BPs
  • Lead the team to ensure programs to be executed in line with timeline and meet objectives and KPIs
  • Undertake external collaborator and KEE communication: HCO contract and plan alignment, KEE consultation, etc.
  • Guide and coordinate digital vendor with KEEs and GSK internal stakeholders in developing relevant software, APP, digital contents, event meetings, etc.
  • Per request, support collaborator, in providing coordination among participating sites.
  • Provide guidance and advice to project implementation.
  • Track team HSS/PSP/Patient engagement project progress and report back to CLT.
  • Provide management monitoring on project execution process for continuous improvement.
  • Track existing projects’ implementation and continuously seek for opportunity to expand impact to patient and healthcare systems
  • Work with MP team members and/or external collaborators to track KPIs and monthly/quarterly report.
  • Collect collaborators and other stakeholders’ feedback towards projects.
  • Communicate with relevant functions to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Provide timely advice to HCO for continuous improvement to support achieving project objectives.
  • Through engaging with regional EEs to evaluate the possibility and necessity towards HCO request for expanding project
  • As patient affairs lead, provide guidance and oversight on interactions with patient organization.
  • Collaborate with GSK global patient advocate and engagement group
  • In collaboration with Medical, Commercial and Development teams to explore and develop collaboration with patient organizations in China, with risk management
  • Lead or provide central oversight on collaborations with patient organizations by Medical TA or Commercial BU

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • At least 8 years, or 5 years after advanced degree, of experiences in pharma industry
  • Track record in leading medical, marketing or project management team to deliver patient support, HCP education or relevant medical projects
  • Ability in setting goals and driving team to deliver quantifiable results.
  • Significant experience in business strategy, operations, change management and transformation.
  • Strong experience working/leading in a matrix environment, proved experiences in Medical or MKT GSK or peer company is a plus.
  • Experience in dealing with complex matters and senior stakeholder engagement, preferred in medical affairs with full life cycle management involving Medical and Commercial.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and commitment to taking accountability and ownership.
  • Ability to communicate with clarity, authenticity, and impact.
