Job Description Summary:

The HR Immigration & Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing immigration-related processes and ensuring compliance with federal and state employment regulations. This role serves as a liaison between internal stakeholders, legal counsel, and government agencies to support visa sponsorships, maintain documentation, and uphold organizational compliance standards.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Coordinate with immigration counsel on sponsorship applications (e.g., H-1B, TN, PERM).
Manage requests for documentation such as Labor Conditions Applications (LCAs) and ensure timely posting and tracking in collaboration with site partners.
Maintain accurate records of immigration cases and ensure compliance with Department of Labor and USCIS requirements.
Monitor and interpret changes in immigration and employment requirements; asses impact on HR policies and procedures.
Support audits and internal review for I-9s.
Oversee I-9 reverification processes for work authorization renewals.
Implement proactive tracking and communication protocols for sponsored associates to ensure timely renewals and minimize risk of work authorization lapses.
Collaborate with HR Shared Services and legal to update and enforce compliance protocols.
Draft and update immigration and compliance-related policies in coordination with HR leadership and legal advisors.
Provide training and guidance to HR Partners and managers on immigration processes and compliance expectations.
Serve as point of contact for associates and managers regarding immigration-related inquires.
Partner with talent acquisition and counsel to ensure a seamless experience for sponsored associates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

Strong knowledge of U.S. Immigration laws and employment regulations

Experience working with immigration counsel and government agencies

Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) and document management tools
