The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid, 10-week experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers meaningful work experience at non-profits all over the country tackling some of our nation’s most pressing challenges. Throughout your internship with a partner organization, Stand Together Fellowships hosts virtual professional development sessions every Thursday from 1-5 pm ET, wherein you will be mentored by seasoned professionals as you craft a capstone project on the topic that matters most to you. Interns will receive either a $5,500 or $3,300 stipend from Stand Together Fellowships depending on whether they are participating full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time (28 hours/week).

Act’s Advancement Team is looking for an amiable and adaptable intern to support their team through research on foundations and potential grants that may be a fit for the organization. In addition, they would help with research on topics that relate to our work - studying trends in things like the effect of violence on the social determinants of health, economic mobility and educational outcomes, as well as the costs of crime and violence to communities.
The intern will report to the VP of Advancement and serve on the Advancement team. This team creates connections and awareness for our work and raises the necessary funds to support it. They produce our collateral, like our documentaries & monthly newsletters, and they support our advisory committees. They also build edifying, sustainable relationships with individual and corporate donors.
As our development intern you will gain: ongoing training and education in development skills and tools; first-hand experience in managing a portfolio from the bottom up, from Salesforce data entry to big-picture strategy; experience planning and executing events, etc; and receive guidance on crafting a career plan and connecting to opportunities after the internship.
