Hanson Professional Services Inc. has the need for an Associate Project Manager for our Aviation Market in our St. Louis, MO, St. Charles, MO, Chicago (Lisle), IL, Peoria, IL, or Springfield, IL offices. This position requires management of the full project life cycle to meet client and Hanson’s expectations regarding scope, budget/financial performance, schedule, quality, communications, risk management and health and safety of project staff. The successful candidate will work directly or indirectly with clients and senior project managers. He or she will coordinate with Practice Areas to staff each project and will subcontract as needed to fulfill project and client needs. We are looking for a creative and dedicated individual who will fit with our collaborative project-team culture. The job generally requires some overtime hours, especially around end-of-month accounting deadlines and when there are overlapping project schedules.
A Day in the Life of an Associate Project Manager at Hanson
Here’s a snapshot of what you would do in this role:
A project manager is responsible for the planning, organizing, directing, executing, and controlling/monitoring of the scope of services, budget, schedule, deliverables, and resources to accomplish the project objectives. An Associate Project Manager (APM) position precedes the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager positions at Hanson. APMs typically manage smaller, less complex projects and assist Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with larger more complex projects.
