The Role

As a 2025 Software Engineer Intern with MarketAxess, you will grow your skills through on-the-job training and professional development classroom training. You will participate in different projects working on real problems, and community service and social events. You will be well supported, receiving regular feedback from your manager and you will have a dedicated mentor. How You’ll Take Us There  

Working on the Post-Trade side of the business, you will:

• Understand business requirements 
• Participate in software design 
• Provide time estimates 
• Write code and unit tests 
• Participate in code reviews 
• Fix bugs 

What We’re Looking for 

• Penultimate year student graduating in 2026
• You will have an interest in technology demonstrated either via your work experience, extracurricular activities, or academic studies
• Exposure to JAVA programming language 
• A strong interest in financial markets and how technology supports our business
• Experience in development/willingness to learn Java based server-side framework (Spring Boot) 
• Understanding of browser-based technologies/willingness to learn (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React, AngularJS, AJAX) 
• A curiosity for data and an ability to analyse information to draw conclusions and propose solutions
• Individuals who can connect the dots and think creatively
• The environment we work in is fast paced, you’ll need to demonstrate focus, resilience, and the flexibility to adapt to changing demands
• People who can collaborate with others, using their strong communication skills in the process
