Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions (BEWS) is the group responsible for leading Ericsson’s Enterprise Networking and Security business. Our growing product portfolio spans across wide area networks, local area networks and enterprise security. We are the #1 global market leader in Wireless-WAN based enterprise connectivity solutions and are growing fast in enterprise Private 5G networks and Secure Access Services Edge (SASE) solutions.
The Senior Sales Engineer will work closely with customers and partners as the primary point of contact for technical sales, feedback, and resolution of issues and will be the customers' advocate for issues that require assistance from the PM/R&D team. You will provide feedback to the Product Management team on new feature requests and product enhancements from your customer base. Travel within the territory is required as necessary to support company-based engagements. Travel within the territory is required as necessary to support company-based engagements
Objective #1 is to exceed our sales targets
Articulate the benefits of Global Cloud and ZTEdge architecture to our target audiences, typically senior security management up to CISO and CIO
Articulate the benefits of SDWAN SASE and ZTNA architecture to our target audiences, typically senior security management up to CISO and CIO
Articulate the high-level benefits of Netcloud Manager, Netcloud Exchange (NCX) and all other Company architecture and portfolio to our target audiences
Construct best practices for presentations, demos, and Proof of Concept/Value exercises as well as overall win strategy
Take an active role in your region’s customer success and help resolve any customer satisfaction issues, escalating cross-functionally when needed
Understand the customer need and establish the company's product as the best solution that addresses that customer's requirement and provides business value
Present the ZTEdge cloud security solution to prospective customers
Create and deliver demonstrations of the products
Gather customer technical and business requirements
Work trade shows as necessary
Provide insight on competitive solutions and differentiate between them
Create evaluation test plans with customers and partners and manage the evaluation process to a successful conclusion
Lead Proofs-of-Concept (POCs)
Present at Conferences and Seminars and online Webinars
Respond effectively to RFIs/RFPs
Exhibit passion for helping customers and delivering satisfaction even when faced with difficult customers and situations
Minimum Qualifications:
Seven (7+) years of relevant experience as a Sr. SE with a proven track record and demonstrable skills at presenting technical information at the business executive level or the architect level
Appropriate industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSK, CCSP, CCSE, GCFW, PCNSE, JNCIS-SEC/JNCIP-ENT, GCIH, etc.)
Advanced level network technology certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CCSP, JNCIE, etc.)
Bachelor's degree; preference for computer science or related degrees
Strong empathy for customers AND passion for revenue and growth
Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills ranging from tech level up to senior executives
Comfortable in public speaking and presenting to both internal and external executive audiences
Ability to scale from the whiteboard to working with security architects to influencing CISOs
Demonstrable hands-on experience with systems installation, configuration, and administration of networking / SDWAN and Security endpoints along with experience with Linux, MacOS, Windows-based, iOS, and Android systems
Knowledge of certificates, key management systems, HSM, and related protocols
Proven hands-on experience with cybersecurity and networking solutions & technologies including SWG, CASB, ZTNA/VPN, NGFW, IAM, DLP, Data security, and writing regex expressions
Experience working with Cloud Identity Providers, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and SD-WAN Deployments and Integrations
Experience working with public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP)
Working knowledge of the broader threat landscape and the ability to distil technology trends and explain complex behaviors and architectures in simple terms
Experience working in and selling cloud-based technologies (SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS)
Demonstrable experience with scripting languages such as Python, and REST API framework
Prior experience with other vendor Cloud Security solutions is advantageous
Strong security skills that would include hands-on experience with Zscaler, Netskope, Palo Alto, Broadcom, McAfee, Check Point, Cisco, and/or similar
Fluent written and verbal English and Japanese language skills
Knowledge of Japanese security landscape
