Summary: As a Data Centre Operator, you will manage the daily operations of a data center, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and efficiently. Your typical day will involve conducting physical and security checks, overseeing the management of physical tapes and media, and providing assistance during vendor interventions. You will also act as 'remote hands' for administrators, facilitating their tasks and ensuring that the data center operates at optimal levels. Your role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and security of the data center environment, contributing to the overall success of the organization. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME. - Collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Facilitate training and knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities. - Monitor and report on data center performance metrics to ensure operational excellence. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Linux Operations. - Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and operations. - Experience with server management and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with network protocols and security practices. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Linux Operations. - This position is based at our Kolkata office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
