FS Investments is seeking a Product Manager who will provide leadership and oversight to drive product excellence of our technology applications that are cutting-edge, scalable, and secure. The Product Manager will define the strategic roadmap by partnering and collaborating with internal teams, aligning with business priorities and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in aligning product development with business goals and driving operational efficiencies all while fostering a culture of innovation.

The Product Manager will ensure our products meet market demands, forecast future trends, and are positioned for sustain success and competitive advantage across the organization. The Product Manager is expected to set a product culture of end-to-end ownership, designing go-to-market strategies in close partnership with Engineering teams and other key pillars of the organization. FS Investments prioritizes delivering solutions that enhance user experience and efficiently streamline operation.

  • Driving technology initiatives that meet short-term as well as long-term strategic business goals.
  • Listening to both internal stakeholders as well as external customers understanding their expectations and how to simplify the user experience engaging with platforms.
  • Providing strong insights to take informed decisions and creating reciprocally satisfactory situations at large.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the Product Vision and Strategy translating it to product roadmap and key success metrics in agreement with Business and Engineering.
  • Play an active role in end-to-end lifecycle by collaborating with teams and ensuring the product roadmap is executed by communicating effectively.
  • Ensure that the product features map to meaningful and clear-cut user stories, prioritize the product backlogs that get slotted into agile sprints and workout best ways to develop and deliver them in close collaboration with Engineering.
  • Be an active listener to customer feedback, analyze and understand the user behavior, think of opportunities to simplify the user flows, giving them meaningful data & insights throughout their journey on our platforms.
  • Gather feedback from marketing/research teams, have the drive to evaluate product offerings against competitors to explore opportunities to incrementally enhancing products.
  • Be the author of functional requirements, user journeys, acceptance criteria, non-functional requirements, user guides.
  • Have strong understanding of data pipelines, data governance and experience delivering data analytics on product platforms.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX teams, review wireframes/Figma designs and ensure it’s vetted by business and engineering teams.
  • Drive sprint goals, review/prepare test plans, conduct user acceptance testing and user testing to give an insight into features being built in the pipeline.
  • Be an active listener and partner of engineering teams, understand technical nuances and their perspectives.
  • Define go-to-market strategies and launch products.
  • Be the go-to-person for engineering and business teams for anything product related.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience as a product manager with in-depth knowledge of every stage of product life cycle – from ideation to design and development, launch and post launch adoption/performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
  • Understanding of Software development life cycle and processes.
  • Understanding of software architecture and system integration.
  • Proficient in SQL for querying databases and tools for testing API’s.
  • Experience in UX/UI design to build user centered products.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work closely with developers, designers, operations and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong customer empathy: understanding the pain points, desires and behaviors of customers to solve real problems.
  • Understanding of KPI’s and metrics in defining and tracking the success of a product launch.
  • Understand the market landscape, including competitors, industry trends and customer needs.
  • Comfortable with fast-moving work environment with quick iterations.
  • Excellence in time management and delivering works in a tight deadline.
