Job Summary

The Vice President, Communications will create, lead and deliver the vision and strategy of an integrated communications program, including external, internal and brand communications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an integrated communications strategy as Rite Aid evolves and goes to market with renewed business strategy, drawing on both traditional and digital channels to reach and engage the company’s stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the communications strategy drives Rite Aid’s evolving brand narrative, promotes and protects its reputation and underscores its commitment to helping its customers and members achieve Whole Health for Life.
  • Serve as corporate spokesperson and ensure consistent external messaging to the media and other external stakeholders. Be an advocate for the customer and strive to amplify the voice of the customer.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, providing strong executive positioning and capturing opportunities to spotlight an exciting brand transformation under way. Drive the creation and dissemination of value-added content through appropriate channels. Partner with business leaders, as well as Divisional/Regional market leaders, to ensure effective, on-going communications activities.
  • Partners closely with Human Resources Leaders to help drive cultural transformation via strategic employee communications.
  • Recognize internal and external communication and media opportunities and solutions. Define and execute creative, appropriate and thoughtful strategies to support opportunities.
  • Oversee crisis / reputation control management and establish protocol for communication in these events.

The typical starting pay range for this position is between $198,545 - $297,950 annually, although wages can very based on experience and geography.
