The Licensee Accounting and Operations Supervisor drives and ensures the daily operation of the Licensee Accounting and Operations team supporting the Latin America (LATAM) and Asia Pacific (APAC) regions, in accordance with Service Level Agreements, to support achievement of business goals.

Owns the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of licensee accounting activities — including Wizard car control transactions, journal entries, account reconciliations, unreported royalty tracking, and true-up processing — ensuring the ledger balances and financial records are audit-ready at all times.

Develops, leads, and motivates the team as a first-line leader. Responsible for supporting and enhancing the satisfaction of internal and external partners, and for managing country/licensee partner relationships across LATAM and APAC.

What You'll Do: 

  • Understands the ABG Licensee business strategy and translates it into team-level priorities for the LATAM and APAC licensee portfolios.
  • Communicates the function's vision and priorities to the team.
  • Proactively identifies and tests process improvements to increase the accuracy and maturity of licensee accounting operations.
  • Oversees monthly analysis of licensee receivable balances; ensures past-due accounts are identified and pursued for collection.
  • Oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for the assigned regions, meeting all close calendar deadlines.
  • Monitors unreported royalties and drives the team toward the 95% current threshold, reducing the monthly royalty accrual and improving reporting accuracy for licensees.
  • Ensures disputed items raised by licensees are properly researched, tracked, and resolved and escalations are resolved with the highest priority.
  • Contributes to improving the quality and efficiency of accounting processes, including standardization across different regions.
  • Communicates expectations, goals, targets, and KPIs to the team.
  • Monitors and proposes improvements to key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensures written procedures (SOPs) for accounting and operations processes are current and followed.
  • Owns relationship management with LATAM and APAC licensee/country partners and Regional Directors.
  • Maintains regular contact with key licensee relationships; understands their needs and provides visibility into account status, reconciliations, and true-up activity.
  • Acts as deputy manager in the manager's absence.
  • Sets team and individual objectives for each team member.
  • Sets clear expectations on required accounting knowledge and skill level; ensures functional and technical training is in place.
  • Manages team performance within the licensee accounting function.
  • Motivates colleagues through continuous feedback and coaching to reach business and personal objectives; plays a key role in developing and coaching team members.
  • Identifies potential talent within the team and ensures succession planning is in place.
  • Selects new employees who best fit the job skill profile and strives to retain well-performing employees.
  • Responsible for onboarding new joiners, including check-point assessments.
  • Develops and/or proposes decisions on low performers.
  • Ensures regular one-to-one discussions are held with direct reports.
  • Carries out administrative tasks delegated by leadership.
  • Implements the workforce plan; allocates and administers resources (holiday, timesheets, work schedule).
  • Executes backup mechanisms to ensure proper process coverage at all times, including around regional close deadlines and holidays.

What We're Looking For:

  • Preferred candidate will have an Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or other related field, Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Basic working knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes; willingness to learn licensee-specific processes on the job.
  • Familiarity with car rental operations and reservation/fleet systems (e.g., Wizard) is a plus; training will be provided.
  • Experience planning, prioritizing, and delegating tasks effectively.
  • Proven ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, presentation skills
  • Ability to weigh both team needs and organizational goals in decision-making.
  • Strong ability to anticipate potential issues (including reconciling discrepancies and licensee disputes) and proactively develop solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and lead the team through transitions.
  • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to empathize and connect with team members and licensee partners across cultures.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
