Senior Warehouse Officer – Corn

LOCATION:                 RCP, MAG and SRMG

REPORTS TO:               Manager Warehouse – Corn  

DIRECT REPORTS:        3

The Senior Warehouse Officer - Corn is responsible for all activities being performed at the respective maize warehouses situated at MAG, SRMG and filling station of RC Plant Faisalabad.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Area of responsibility – [Maize Warehouses MAG and SRMG, Filling station at RCP]
  • Area of responsibility – [Safe Maize Inbound, Storage and Inbound in line with company SOPs]
  • Area of responsibility – [Maintaining EHSS standards in above mentioned areas]

Safety & Compliance

  • Oversee warehouse operations by monitoring safety & security procedures and protocols.
  • Ensure 100% compliance of level 1 PPEs on regular daily wagers and office staff
  • Get the right compliance of safety protocols as per Maize WH SOPs from contractor labor (3P)
  • Timely raise safety Observations at the area of responsibility.
  • Conduct regular training sessions.
  • Zero Operational Compliance Issues in WH in normal and seasonal operations
  • Ensure compliance regarding vehicle traffic plan.
  • Identify and drive resolution of work hazards, safety risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Keep liaison with contractor for timely repair / maintenance of tractors / trolleys.
  • Ensure to perform all activities according to SOP and work instructions.

Quality and Fumigation

  • Manage smooth functioning of the warehouse, protect the material from adverse climatic conditions.
  • Keep liaison with QC for quarterly maize surveys to identify quality of maize.
  • Supervision of Fumigation and spray of maize/cobs/empty bags other areas of Warehouse
  • Proper coverage of all the storage areas to avoid weather affects.
  • GMP compliance through efficient housekeeping activities.

Critical Deliverables

  • Supervise and control receipt of maize/cobs, stacking, storage and delivery to Production.
  • Control inventory levels by ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged.
  • Arrange and prepare all the requirements to conduct complied Internal/External Audits and Visits.
  • Manage shelling of cobs and ensure smooth running of dryers.
    • Supervise IMS related activities of the WH and ensure IMS Implemented to its spirit.
    • Ensure timely movement of corn from outside Godowns to factories.
    • Manage crises situation as and when occurred at the location during normal and seasonal operations.
    • Supervision of Bardana repairing and cleaning.
    • Coordinate and ensure timely fumigations of the stocks and regular spray activities.  

Agility and Innovation

  • Ensure maintenance of regular periodic reports and statistics.
  • Use the logistics available for utmost efficiency during normal and seasonal operations.
  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse, coordinate with relevant dept for maintenance.
  • Plan and implement new design layouts to improve storage capacities. Regular Inspections of the equipment, issuing work orders for repair and maintenance.
  • Proactive planning of the seasonal resources i.e., Human and material. Prepare and share daily/weekly/monthly reports related to the operations being conducted.
  • Right compliance of all the IPM activities keeping EHSS at topmost priority

People Management & Well Being

  • Getting maximum output from labor by making timely decisions for execution of the jobs, during normal and seasonal operations.
  • Actively work with third party contractors in execution of various jobs and resolve their issues.
  • Ensure problem solving with participation and consultation of teammates during normal and seasonal operations.
  • Manage proper training of all employees in his area of responsibility.
  • Cross functional collaboration with Admin. QC and other departments.

Qualified candidates will have:

Mandatory requirements:

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • 8-10 Years’ experience in Supply Chain and Logistics management.
  • English fluency, both written and spoken
