Fairview Hospital’s Kemper Coronary Care Center is looking to add a Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA) to their dedicated team of caregivers. The Kemper Coronary Care Center is a busy and fast-paced 14-bed Coronary Intensive Care Unit that cares for patients suffering from heart diseases and conditions. In addition, caregivers in this unit work with the Department of Cardiology and the Invasive Cardiology team, participate in the Code Crimson team and respond to all in-patient rapid responses and Code Blue alarms. As a Health Unit Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service to patients, families, visitors, and other caregivers to promote and support positive patient experiences. Your primary duties will include, but are not limited to:
Performing administrative and clerical duties.
Maintaining communication with patients, families, and other caregivers.
Conducting patient orientation and ensuring patients' needs are met.
Assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
