In this vital role you will as a Manager Information Systems provide leadership and oversight to the organization's information systems leading the design, development and implementation of technology solutions for enhancing data, analytics and visualization capability. This role will be part of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Medical Data Analytics Product Team that primarily focuses on delivering analytics & visualization solutions across the Global Medical business capabilities. The selected individual will engage with business users, validation engineers, product owner and the members of development team to develop and deliver solutions, build enhancements and maintain an operational oversight. Additionally, this role will will analyze, design, and support the implementation of software solutions that meet the unique needs of our medical teams. They will provide day to day operations, data standardization, ad hoc query, reporting, technical support and training data.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced data visualization solutions for Global Medical teams, enabling actionable insights across diverse business capabilities.

  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using industry-standard tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to visualize complex medical data for various collaborators, ensuring clarity and accuracy.

  • Develop visualization Mockups.

  • Drive innovation in data visualization by introducing advanced techniques (e.g., predictive analytics, dynamic storytelling) to highlight trends and opportunities.

  • Monitor and enhance the performance of visualization tools, ensuring optimal load times and usability.

  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards, such as HIPAA and GDPR.

  • Oversee the implementation of automated data validation frameworks, ensuring consistency across datasets and reducing errors.

  • Partner with multi-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable visualization solutions.

  • Present data insights and visualization solutions to senior leadership, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

  • Train and mentor team members and business users on the effective use of visualization tools and analytics standard processes.

  • Manage and mentor a team of data visualization experts and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

  • Establish and monitor critical metrics for the visualization team to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.

  • Drive multi-functional collaboration with engineering, data science, and business teams to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.

  • Drive the implementation of reusable, scalable frameworks for visualization solutions to support global reporting needs.

  • Support ad-hoc and strategic reporting requests with customized data visualizations tailored to business needs.

  • Stay updated with emerging trends and tools in data visualization and analytics, incorporating innovative solutions into the team's workflows.

  • Advocate for the adoption of innovative tools and methodologies to elevate the organization's visualization capabilities.

  • Collaborate on the development of a centralized data lake and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards

What we expect of you

  • Master’s degree and 4 to 6 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 to 8 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience OR

  • Diploma and 10 to 12 years ofComputer Science, IT or related field experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, visualization, or business intelligence, preferably within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare industry.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing global data projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and experience in integrating data visualization solutions with cloud-based architectures.

  • Solid understanding of medical data models, including data originating from across Medical capabilities like Field Medical Excellence, Medical Information, Medical Scientific Communication, etc.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Good communication and social skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users

  • Ability to work closely with multi-functional teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights

  • Solid skills in analyzing and modeling large datasets, with expertise in creating aggregate data models and enabling ad-hoc reporting.

  • Expertise in visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis programming languages.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Work experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Experience using and adopting Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • An ongoing commitment to learning and staying at the forefront of AI/ML advancements.

Professional Certifications

  • Preferred certification in SAFe for Teams

  • Preferred certification in data visualization tools such as Tableau Certified Professional, Microsoft Power BI Certification, etc
