Nike seeks an experienced and driven 3D Pipeline Engineering Manager to lead and inspire a high-performing team of engineers within our CP&I department. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of cutting-edge 3D pipelines and tools that empower our product design and innovation process. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background in 3D graphics, a proven track record of team leadership and mentorship, and a strategic vision for the future of 3D technology in the footwear and apparel industry.
What will you be responsible for?
Team Leadership and Development: Build, lead, and mentor a team of talented 3D pipeline engineers, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing work environment.
Strategic Planning and Execution: Define and implement the strategic roadmap for 3D pipeline development, ensuring alignment with the overall CP&I vision and objectives.
Resource Management: Effectively allocate resources, manage budgets, and prioritize projects to maximize team productivity and impact.
Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews to support the growth and development of team members.
Pipeline Architecture and Development: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust, scalable, and efficient 3D pipelines that integrate seamlessly with our existing design and production workflows.
Tool Development and Innovation: Drive the creation and implementation of innovative tools and technologies that enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and empower designers and engineers.
Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of 3D technologies into the product development lifecycle.
Technology Evaluation and Adoption: Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in 3D graphics, visualization, and related fields, evaluating and recommending new technologies for adoption within Nike.
Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to optimize and improve 3D pipeline processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and scalability.
Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
What you bring?
Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or related technical subject area or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience in 3D pipeline development and tool creation, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role.
Expert-level proficiency in Python, C++, or other relevant programming languages.
Deep understanding of 3D graphics principles, animation, visualization technologies, and real-time rendering.
Extensive experience with 3D software packages (Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini, Blender) and game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity).
Strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices.
Proven ability to lead, manage, and inspire high-performing engineering teams.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Strategic thinker with a vision for the future of 3D technology in the footwear and apparel industry.
Experience working in the footwear or apparel industry is a strong plus.
