Role Definition
Engineering Manager within the Onboard Autonomy and Validation division. As a first-line leader of a team of engineers, the incumbent is expected to provide leadership to the Hardware In the Loop (HIL) testing and electronic Virtual Proving Ground (eVPG) teams carrying out system integration, verification and validation of On-Machine and Office systems focused on CAT's Remote Control and Autonomy Solutions. The scope of work will include HIL testing of New Product Development and continuous improvement of the existing products using state of the art Simulation/VPD tools, Software In the Loop(SIL) and Hardware In the Loop (HIL) platforms. Role includes need for skills to coach, guide and facilitate the development of work group that builds a collaborative relationship among themselves, as well as with customers, suppliers, and other functional groups to ensure goals are achieved. The leader is expected to create and maintain an organizational climate / culture which encourages innovation, collaboration, excitement / commitment, and a sense of urgency towards business success.
