This position is located at the Roosevelt Warm Springs Hospital.

Shift/Schedule: M-F standard 8 hours flex i.e. 7-3 or 8-5, Flexibility when a class is scheduled to come in early or stay late No Call / No WE

Job Summary:

The CNSE is a clinical practitioner who possesses advanced skill and expertise in clinical care and education. The Nurse Educator plans, creates, and facilitates mandatory and non-mandatory education classes for all clinical staff. The Nurse Educator works with IRF and LTAC hospitals to identify ways to fulfill training needs. The Nurse Educator is responsible for the onboarding of Patient Care Services employees.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Educational Assessment: Partners with departments to identify training needs and competency requirements. Designs training curricula to fulfill needs and collaborates with leadership to refine training objectives and delivery. Conducts annual educational needs assessments and builds year-long program plans to fill education gaps.

Training Delivery: Facilitates training courses for nurses/clinical staff. Provides feedback to trainees, as appropriate. Works in collaboration with other leadership staff to enhance delivery quality and streamline efforts

Quality of Care: Maintains cooperative relationships and supports healthy work environment concepts. Fosters a collaborative work environment for nurses, physicians, and other care providers who are part of the multidisciplinary care delivery team. Sustains a culture of inquiry and excellence in clinical nursing and ensures excellent implementation of care delivery.

Plans and organizes onboarding education of Patient Care Services employees throughout the year providing them a beginning knowledge base to become successful Roosevelt Rehab & LTAC employees.

Required Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing Required

  • Master Degree Nursing Preferred

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

  • Current Registered Nursing License (Georgia) or qualifying multi-state compact license. Required

  • Current AHA Required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

  • ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire

  • Approved National Certification Preferred

  • ACLS Instructor Certification Preferred


Required Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum 3 year(s) or more of experience in Clinical Nursing Required

Required Minimum Skills:

  • Ability to read, write and speak English language

  • Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills

  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer service skills required;

  • Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner

  • Possess excellent time management skills; practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills along with possessing strong critical thinking skills.
