Position Overview:

Boeing Defense India team is currently looking for Senior Business Finance Manager  to join their team in New Delhi, India.

Position Responsibilities:

• Be a key member of the Business leadership team, contributing to the development of strategic goals and objectives and leading key initiatives

• Provide financial advice to the business on strategic and operational issues, run business case analysis in support of management decisions  

• Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

• Effectively plan and manage business rates and overheads, with a focus on affordability.

• Financial oversight and review of program budgets/forecasts, schedules and performance.

• Maintain a strong control environment achieved through maintaining a clear authority matrix, auditing activity (internal and external) and regular performance reviews.

• Own the Financial results for the business. Ensure strong financial hygiene and governance

• Drive effective management of working capital, cash flows, costs and margins

• Lead the annual budget process and long range business plan preparation and monitor the delivery of key financial targets

• Work with External consultants and advisors

• Drive proposal strategies, including support to commercial negotiations. This will involve supporting the formulation of competitive proposals and negotiation strategies including review and inputs to proposal pricing

• Partner with finance colleagues across the enterprise in the oversight and support of Boeing India operations for execution.

• Responsible for Management Reporting in close coordination with different Business units, Programs and functions  

• Ability to inspire and motivate individual contributors and accomplish results through non-management employees who may or may not exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Master’s Degree (with major in finance) or Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is required as BASIC QUALIFICATION with 15+ years  of relevant experience.

• Experience of leading the finance function for a sizable organization preferably with manufacturing operations

• Experience of partnering in a growing business and demonstrated contributions in supporting the growth agenda

• Experience of working with MNCs’ and a comfort with operating in a multi-cultural set-up. Demonstrated ability to work across borders, cultures and time zones

• Good knowledge of commercials/pricing, accounting and financial controls (e.g. Indian GAAP, US GAAP)

• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of concluding commercial deals

• Proven ability to inspire and manage teams, both directly and through a matrix management structure

• Good interpersonal skills with an ability to win the respect and trust of colleagues, employees, suppliers and customers

• Strong ethical and professional values; the ability to resolve issues without compromising on ethics

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience in SAP system (preferred)

• Aerospace & Defense industry exposure( preferred)

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. CA) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+ 15 years' related work experience.
