The staff Diagnostic Technologist works under the supervision of the Radiology Manager: Performs general radiographic examinations; receives and reviews patient radiology requisitions for diagnosis and examinations requested; selects and operates a variety of x-ray equipment; positions patients and determines radiation exposure factors; assists Radiologist during fluoroscopic examinations; performs film quality control; releases patients; performs miscellaneous related duties; exercise general supervision of the X-Ray Students; performs other duties as assigned. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her area.Employment Type: Full-Time Flex position (72 hours every two weeks)
Shift: Set every 4th weekend (3p-11p), flex weekday shifts
Weekly Scheduled Hours: Varied
Weekend Frequency: Every 4th weekend
Qualifications:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or tech-school
Registration/Certification or License Required:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist required; must complete registry requirements within one year of graduation.
Current BLS for the Health Care Provider (or completed within 60 days of hire)

Performs Film Quality Control:
Appropriate Use of Resources:
Performs radiographic examinations in a professional manner.
Completes examinations within established department timeframes for efficient and quality patient care.
Demonstrates the ability to complete a heavier than normal workload.
Actively participates in the x-ray student-training program and provides a supportive learning environment.
Demonstrates teamwork; assists other staff when needed and/or as directed regardless of room assignment.
