Salesforce is looking for a Senior Art Director to work with on a contract basis. We are looking for someone who combines skill and enthusiasm with a passion for design, quality, and attention to detail. You will be ready to take ownership of key projects, collaborate with teams, and present design work to executives with confidence and clarity. You should be used to working on multiple projects within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. While confident and passionate in your abilities, you possess a willingness to learn something new. 

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the team that specializes in characters, company culture, Trailhead and internal events. You will create bold, impactful concepts for our programs and guide them to successful execution through every stage of production. While you're comfortable taking direction, you also excel at conceptualizing and championing your own ideas—and delivering exceptional results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Design Leadership & Execution

    • Oversee and execute high-quality deliverables for digital, print, presentations, and motion graphics.

    • Produce and refine assets such as design systems and templates, landing pages, event signage, product icons, ensuring consistency and excellence.

    • Stay ahead of design trends, tools, and technologies, integrating them into projects to maintain cutting-edge design and efficiency.
       

  • Concept Development

    • Work closely with our Senior Creative Director and cross-functional teams to develop innovative and strategic design concepts that align with Salesforce's events and brand design.

    • Leverage visual storytelling and design to craft compelling narratives that engage and inspire audiences.

    • Collaborate and partner with project managers, copywriters, designers, and marketing teams to ensure creative vision is executed effectively across all channels ahead of deadlines.
       

  • Presentation

    • Present concepts and designs to stakeholders, including senior leadership, and incorporate feedback to refine and improve creative deliverables.

    • Ability to produce, document and maintain a comprehensive Brand Kit-of-Parts and/or Brand Guidelines to ensure consistency for developed design systems.

    • Participate in all necessary internal and external meetings – status, team briefings, brainstorming sessions and presentations.
       

QUALIFICATIONS
 

  • Strong problem solving skills and detail oriented.

  • Superior presentation, oral, written and time management skills.

  • Strong knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, composition, and visual storytelling.

  • Experience with corporate branding, and working with corporate guidelines.

  • Can work with and/or create custom illustrations.

  • Familiarity with current advertising and design trends, and practical knowledge of Internet and multimedia technology.



REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years experience in a visual design role, preferably at a tech company, design firm or agency.

  • Strong online portfolio with outstanding examples across a variety of digital and traditional media that demonstrate creative and technical skills.

  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.

  • In-office attendance is required.


BONUS

  • Event conference/booth/environmental design experience

  • AI creative tools (Firefly, Midjourney; etc) working knowledge 

  • Presentation design experience

  • Video/motion graphic design experience

  • Working with complex illustrations

  • Iconography & Character design knowledge
