What you will do:
- Perform and review engineering calculations, analysis, research, design and drawings, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements
- Lead projects from conception to completion, including project selection, cost estimation, and the preparation of engineering design proposals and bid packages
- Lead all aspects of project development including resource coordination (surveying, drafting, construction) contract management, construction support, and project closeout
- Manage design creating, design reviews, cost estimation, and system compatibility, ensuring technical compliance with industry standards and regulations. Manage contract support and maintain records throughout the project life cycle
- Work independently while optimally collaborating with and leading various teams to achieve project goals
- Demonstrate good judgment in evaluating, selecting and applying engineering techniques, making necessary adaptations to meet project goals.
Who you are:
You have:
- 3+ years of developmental experience in a professional engineering position along with a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
- Competency in applying engineering principles, fundamentals, concepts, practices and procedures requiring some evaluation, originality and/or ingenuity to achieve project objectives
You can:
- Show knowledge and application of engineering theories and principles, concepts, and fundamentals
- Understand and apply knowledge of configuration management in addition to performing engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g. MATLAB, Excel, etc.)
- Think analytically to solve sophisticated problems while also being able to interpret codes, regulations and practices
You are:
- An excellent written and verbal communicator with strong decision making skills
- Skilled in planning, organization and project management with the ability to develop and exercise leadership skills
- Able to work independently but also within a team environment while being able to process information quickly and effectively to handle multiple tasks
The following are considered assets:
- Knowledge of natural gas system design, piping network analysis modelling software, government regulations relating to natural gas, and project management principles
Working Conditions:
- Work performed in typical office environment 80% of the time with the other 20% will be outside being exposed to the cold, heat and loud noises with 10% travel

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
