Leidos is seeking a talented Sr. Project Manager to lead the execution of a large-scale complex migration planning effort at Ft. Meade, MD. 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: 

  • Must possess an ACTIVE SECRET security clearance or higher to be eligible.  (US Citizenship required)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Project Manager will direct a team of engineers and administrators skilled in networks, cyber, servers, storage, data center facilities, and audio/video technology to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team. The candidate’s duties will include, but are not limited to, managing customer relationships, conducting interviews to better understand customer preferences and pain-points, guiding the technical team and the continuous improvement of service delivery. Ensuring solutions are delivered with high quality and in a timely manner is a key priority.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage and agile team of technical professionals.
  • Oversee and direct a team of 8-20 personnel.
  • Integrate all functions and activities necessary to ensure the project/program meets client/customer requirements.
  • Direct project team members, manage cost and schedule, ensure contract compliance, and serve as customer interface.
  • Manage technical aspects, costs, and schedule of assigned tasks or functions.
  • Provide direction while engaging multi-discipline teams and responding to business needs.
  • Make decisions at the project team-level and properly escalate issues that cannot be resolved timely.
  • Direct team members (e.g., executives, subject matter experts, controllers, schedulers, etc.) through the project lifecycle.
  • Create project management plans, set expectations, and ensure plans are driven by organizational procedures.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop project scope, objectives, goals, and deliverables.
  • Ensure requirements are gathered, documented, reviewed, and approved per organizational/program standards.
  • Create high-quality presentations and briefing status to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within budget, and remain in scope; monitor and track project dependencies.
  • Create a work breakdown structure defining all activities required for project deliverables.
  • Manage project budget - maintain financial plan, track actuals vs. plan, provide monthly forecasts, report monthly accruals.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 12-15 years' experience or Masters with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience as a Project Manager managing technical projects in the customer's environment.
  • Experience managing multiple high-level projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience coordinating and synchronizing a number of IT projects, developing and maintaining a master schedule, developing and maintaining a high-level budget, and preparing senior management communication briefs.
  • Proven experience briefing senior management and working with commercial vendors.
  • Experience utilizing MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Proven experience streamlining processes and procedures.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PMP Certification.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00
