Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Information Systems Administration Generalist to join our highly skilled team of results driven and customer focused masterminds. This position requires full time work onsite at our Elkridge, Maryland location.

Additionally, it provides the employee the flexibility of working a traditional 40-hour week or work a 9/80 schedule. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day to take every other Friday off.

Your daily opportunities:

  • Coordinate and perform hardware integration, relocation, and periodic maintenance in Department of Defense (DoD) and DoD accredited Government and contractor facilities
  • Frequent collaboration with internal company and external contacts
  • Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
  • Work under general supervision

Minimum Education / Experience for Information Systems Administration Generalist: Three (3) years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics (STEM); one (1) year with Masters. NOTE: Four (4) years of additional relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.

Additional Basic Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship is required with an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance which was active in the last 24 months. TS/SCI eligibility must be in place by the start date.
  • Must possess DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher prior to start date
  • Must be able to work standing and lift 50lbs

You will be a great fit if:

You have strong working knowledge in two or more of the following areas:

  • Understanding of and be able to manage the lifecycle management principles for a secure computer network’s hardware and software requirement.  This will include:
    • Managing the tracking of basic hardware maintenance schedules for a complex distributed network architecture
    • Must be knowledgeable of the complexities of dealing with both software & hardware license and warranty issues.  This includes cost evaluations and variations
  • Moderate understanding of computer networks and the OSI model. A firm understanding of layer 1 for the purposes of connectivity and troubleshooting is essential
  • Experience with Cisco network equipment (Cisco certifications a plus)
  • Experience deploying computer equipment in non-familiar workspaces
  • General knowledge of supply chain and product integrity concepts
  • Experience with IT procurement issues and supply chain integrity
  • Experience in shipping and receiving equipment and the use of DD1149 form

What to expect:

  • During the first 30 days of employment onboarding activities to include Northrop Grumman training requirements, program overviews, system architecture familiarization, and department-specific training will establish a solid foundation for the new team member. Introductions to management and team leads will provide insight into the team dynamics while identifying key areas where you will provide value to the mission.
  • Day 30 through 90 will consist of further integration to the team and actively sitting with tenured members to gain a better understanding of daily tasks and requirements. Tasks will be assigned in accordance with the appropriate pace needed to guarantee your success.
  • Day 90 and onward will consist of mission focused opportunities with the possibility to collaborate across several teams. From leading day-to-day activities, to testing cutting-edge feature enhancements to the enterprise architecture, you will have the ability to invest in your future while delivering maximum value to our customer’s mission.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
