Job Description:

Position Title: 2025 Education Data Analyst Intern_Spring

Division: Learning and Engagement

Department: Education Administration and Operations

Reports to: Director of Strategic Operations & Director of the Windgate Education Initiative

Compensation Range: $13.00 an hour

Position Summary:

The Education Data Analyst and Industry Research internship with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is designed to look across all programs within the Learning and Engagement division to refine and develop attendance tracking systems for current programs and conduct industry research for benchmarking and future planning. Areas of focus for data analysis and research will include public programs, school programs and community engagement. This opportunity is perfect for prospective interns who enjoy working with numbers and systems and can help highlight key learnings from the data. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and prepares forecasted and historical program attendance and financial reports 
  • Reviews program data to note trends 
  • Reviews and identifies gaps in data tracking and refines systems based on learnings 
  • Conducts industry research on competitors and across the marketplace and consolidates information into actionable items and reports 
  • Conducts interviews with internal departments to provide the education department with a rubric for understanding the different levels of effort required across divisions within the museum to execute programs and initiatives 
  • Works with the Director of Administration and Research to determine key questions that will drive the data analysis and industry research 

Qualifications:

  • Current college student
  • Experience or strong interest in research, data analysis, statistics or mathematics 
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work independently, as well as within a team 
  • Dependable and punctual 
  • A background check is required 
  • Must maintain confidentiality of all information

Intern selected by: December 2nd

Anticipated Start Date: February 3rd

Anticipated End Date: April 25th

Hours: Undergraduate students (bachelor’s Level): Up to 20 hours a week;

Weekly schedule to be arranged with direct supervisor

To qualify for bachelor’s or master’s hours, you must be enrolled in an accredited program or have graduated from an accredited program within the last three years. Students will be required to submit a current schedule or official transcript.

Compensation:

Undergraduate Interns: $13.00 an hour

  • Physical demands:  In the work environment described below, position requires work at a desk, utilizing a computer and a telephone for prolonged periods of time, good eye/hand coordination, bending and stretching for filing, and physical stamina to lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of at least three feet for file and materials storage as appropriate for the demands of the office. Visual acuity to review written materials is required for this job.

  • Work environment:  Work will be performed in an office environment and museum spaces. The noise level in the museum work environment is usually low to moderate.

If the intern’s personal equipment is used, the museum accepts no liability for any damage caused to said equipment while being used for museum purposes, nor loss or corruption of electronic files on devices.
