Being a single point of contact within the APAC region and working with GM Managers and in turn will become subject matter expert advising the business units on cross border and expatriate tax requirements on a regional basis. Position is responsible for international global mobility compliance, design and administration of applicable policies working closely with and supporting mobility managers.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Be the Global Mobility contact person for all regional immigration and mobility matters.

  • Providing support to across the team on common processes across the team or region-specific actions (e.g.  EMEA, Americas).

  • Work with managers on immigration matters and applications.

  • Understand international assignment and international transfer processes and support business units.

  • Responsible for Immigration compliance for regional cases specifically managing all aspects tracking cases, visa expiries in partnership with our external vendors

  • Development of annual immigration budget to set immigration costs and renewals for the APAC region.

  • Pro-actively input into & help develop, implement and maintain mobility policy and processes. 

  • Provide recommendations to mobility colleagues on immigration issues.

  • Monitor legislative changes in the APAC region, flag update to wider team and propose needed changes.

  • Maintain online content to provide ongoing communications and resources for employees, Line Managers and HR Community

  • Assist as needed with global policy reviews using internal and external market data sources.

  • Attend regular Global HR / BU calls to support the global regions.

  • Conduct/attend regular training sessions with line Managers / HR and Hiring managers on Global Mobility related compliance topics with GM Manager

  • Recommend policy and appropriate assignment compliance solutions to the business.

  • Ensure assignment expense information is reported to payroll for reporting purposes.

  • Prepare assignment costings for moves

  • Assist with the budget preparation process and ensure all assignment tax costs are adequately tracked and accounted for monthly.

  • Assist with management of the third-party vendors, review of KPI.s SLA and monthly invoices as applicable.

  • Recommend process improvements.

  • Understand the relocation processes for rest of world.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications (Minimum Required):

Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements. Experience (Minimum Required):

• 1 to 2 years of international expat tax experience ideally obtained within a large firm of accountants or experience in an in-house Global Mobility function looking after compliance aspects this can also include managing a program of assignments, overseeing the moves, managing vendors within the process.

• 7 - 10 years of overall experience in HR

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Strong MS Office skills.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

• Knowledge of immigration processes & applications in the APAC Region

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • Hybrid role with one day in Bangalore office.

  • Travel no more than 5% and could be domestic or international.
