JOB TITLE: Distribution Teammate Non-Equipment Operator CODE: OM0570 

 

JOB SUMMARY: 

 

Performs warehouse tasks within the Owens & Minor Distribution Center. Accurately receives, picks, packs, and sorts products in accordance with customer specifications. Ensures warehouse functions are completed safely, accurately, and ontime within company standards.    

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Follows SOPs to complete assigned tasks in receiving, LUM picking and sortation, and loading. 

  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment. Follows safety policies and procedures and corrects or communicates hazards to management. 

  • Knowledge of DC and shift KPIs. Able to meet LPH goals to support On-Time Delivery, Shipping Accuracy, Overtime, and Productivity KPIs. 

  • Sets an example through actions and job knowledge to motivate peers to meet DC KPIs. 

  • Suggests innovative ways to improve shift processes and working conditions to increase efficiency of the warehouse.  

  • Effectively communicates with peers. 

  • Available to work varying shifts as needed to include weekends, evenings, and OT to meet DC goals. May be asked to consider SWAT assignments.  

  • Assists in training new teammates, provides SME level knowledge of processes.  

  • Performs additional duties as directed. 

 

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE: 

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent or 1 Year of Warehouse Experience  

  • Proven Dedication to Safety

EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, AND WORK AIDS:  

  • RF Scanners, Jennifer voice pick equipment, safety knives, printers, and computers  

 

STRENGTH AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.
