The Role:

The Barista will provide exceptional hospitality, quality beverages and products while maintaining a welcoming and comfortable environment. They will be the face of The Lounge which we utilize as a co-working space during office hours. The successful candidate should be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea and drink preparation and go the extra mile to make their customer’s day with a perfect cup of coffee or beverage.
 

What this role will do

  • Prepare and serve consistently outstanding beverages by adhering to recipe standards.
  • Organize, prepare and clean up daily food items
  • Proactively engage with customers to deliver exceptional customer experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized space for guests and coworkers in all areas of The Lounge.
  • Assist with setup, cleanup, inventory and stock work
  • Perform a variety of tasks including clearing tables of mugs, glasses or dishes, washing mugs, glasses and dishes, cleaning and organizing coffee/condiment station, and taking out trash.
  • Adhere to proper safety guidelines at all times.
  • Assist a variety of duties and tasks as directed.

What this person will bring

  • Must be Smart Serve Certified and at least 19 years of age or older
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a barista or bartender in a premium, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time
  • Strong communication skills, including listening skills and ability to communicate with guests and respond to inquiries
  • Ability to deliver exceptional hospitality in a personal and professional manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and healthy respect for cleanliness.
  • Reliable and consistent - Must be available for overtime for special events or meetings.
  • Professional behavior and appearance at all times.
