As a Senior Manager, Consumer Insights located remotely you will be responsible for leading proprietary research, developing best in class consumer insights and fostering a consumer-centric, data-driven culture. As an exceptional communicator, you will build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization and will play a vital role in creating consumer-centric offerings and experiences.

While no two days are the same, you will develop the appropriate learning plans to evaluate hypotheses that can assist in meeting business objectives and utilizing appropriate methodologies to develop and test hypotheses, draw relevant inferences, and create recommendations to define business opportunities. You will synthesize, interpret, and apply information/data to establish facts. Develop insights to provide new perspectives on the business, consumers, and future opportunities. Bring data and insights to life by building well-crafted, clear and compelling narratives. You will manage the engagement of marketing research and analytics projects. Lastly, you will demonstrating the curiosity to learn the business, the consumer, the market and apply strong understanding of current and emerging research methodologies to strengthen our consumer insights capability.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • You have a Bachelor's degree.
  • You have 7 years of experience in consumer insights.
  • You have expertise in leading, designing, executing, and reporting primary market research.
  • You have deep understanding of how to integrate consumer insights fundamentals including primary & secondary consumer research, syndicated research, positioning & communication development, and strategic business analysis to inform business and marketing strategies. This includes segmentation, need states, concept development/validation, test and learn approaches, brand health tracking, creative optimization, etc.
  • You have exceptional track record of translating insights into strategic direction and priorities for the business / brand.
  • You have the ability to work effectively with all levels of the business team and management.
  • You have the ability to coach others and build organizational talent relative to consumer insights and driving consumer-centric decision making.
  • You have proven ability to integrate data from a variety of sources to provide clarity and direction to cross-functional teams.
  • You have strong influencing skills and ability to shape strategic direction, as well as excellent written and communication skills (e.g. visualization, storytelling, etc.).

Work Arrangement

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader.  Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis. Employees will also be eligible to receive discretionary vacation for exempt team members, paid holidays throughout the calendar year and paid sick leave.  Other compensation includes eligibility for an annual bonus and the potential for restricted stock units based on role.

Pay Range:

Metro Areas of Boston, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and New York City: 

$86,357-$172,715

All other locations:

$72,035-$143,964

Please note that the salary range above is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
