Job Description: Human Resources Generalist

Location: Costa Rica

The Human Resources Generalist will collaborate with the HR Director to support alignment with the business, develop effective business solutions for anticipated, existing, and new challenges. Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive support to the HR Director in their day-to-day activities, including acting as the first point of contact for employees, preparing presentations, tracking HR-related data, managing invoices and expenses, and maintaining HR files.

• Act as a trusted advisor to employees, interpreting and enforcing HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.

• Offer guidance and counsel to employees and managers on basic employee relations matters.

• Assist in employee relations intake, conduct investigative fact-finding, and prepare responses as needed.

• Manage a diverse range of company-wide HR projects and initiatives assigned by the HR Director.

• Collaborate with centers of excellence in recruitment, training and development, and US HR Team to support the employee life cycle.

• Coordinate and facilitate various HR-related activities and logistics.

• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations to HR leadership.

• Conduct supervisory and interpersonal skills training.

• Compile and manage monthly HR reports.

• Assist in communicating and coordinating processes and HR initiatives.

• Supervise and follow up the creation employment letters, such as promotion, salary increase, and bonus notifications. Draft and update templates and custom letters as required.

• Process employee changes in the HRIS system, preferably Workday, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations.

• Ensure accurate and timely uploading of HR documents into personnel files.

• Maintain HR folders and ensure proper organization of documents.

• Manage the execution of year-end processes, including reporting, tracking, and promotions

  • Direct supervision and development to the HR Assistant

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of HR experience in a mid to large-size HR organization.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.

• Fluent in both English and Spanish (bilingual).

• Strong working knowledge of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience handling basic employee relations issues with tact, discretion, and confidentiality.

• Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage competing priorities.

• Effective problem solver with a resourceful approach to finding solutions.

Tech-savvy with experience using HRIS systems, preferably Workday.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.

• Exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written, with a clear and concise style.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost professionalism.
