We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join us at Boku in Estonia, Tartu. You would be working for the Trident Bundling team, which helps merchants and partners scale globally by creating cost-effective, value-driven product and service bundles.

 

You will be responsible for all the stages of the software development life cycle (from technical preparations to testing your code and monitoring the outcome if needed).

Your main goal is to bring the ideas of stakeholders into life - deliver products and features to our clients, that have a direct impact on their revenue and market positioning. You will have good opportunities to exchange knowledge and drive initiatives together with engineers from the whole organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Some experience in Java Software Development through internships, academic projects, or up to a couple of years of professional experience, with a willingness to learn and improve coding practices and techniques.
• Basic understanding of testing, continuous integration, and deployment practices, with an eagerness to develop skills in these areas.
• Enthusiasm for contributing to software architecture, quality, and user experience while learning from experienced team members. You will write code, participate in code reviews, and gain hands-on experience with maintaining services in production using a modern toolset.
• Open-minded, hands-on, passionate, creative – a doer who loves turning ideas into reality.
• We value in-person collaboration at our Tartu office and believe it enhances teamwork and results. While this is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work remotely, occasional on-site presence in Tartu is essential. Ideally, you should live in Tartu or close by, as face-to-face teamwork strengthens our relationships and helps us achieve better results together.

• Completed bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
