Responsibilities
Work with suppliers and cross functional teams to develop equipment specifications, develop and drive acceptance tests with clear documentation.
Design equipment modules, components in order to improve the current equipment to enable processing of new materials/manufacturing methods.
Work with a cross functional team to develop / improve equipment in order to bring innovative cell manufacturing processes from proof of concept through to high volume production
Identify equipment issues, design solutions and implement them to improve equipment effectiveness, manufacturing process capability and reliability.
Conduct equipment DFMEA, identify top risks and mitigate them early on in order to develop reliable and robust manufacturing equipment
Manage external equipment suppliers from initial proof of principle equipment development through SAT’s in high volume production
Train operators/associates and create detailed SOP’s
Requirements
BS with a minimum of 5 years Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
Proven experience in mechanical design of equipment parts/automation using Solidworks or similar CAD software
Proficient in GD&T and tolerance analysis
Experience in new equipment installations and manufacturing line startups
Proven record of developing project plans and solutions for problems outside of core expertise
Demonstrated experience in designing and integration of variety of sensors (fiber optic, vision etc ), actuators ( pneumatic, servo driven etc. )
Working knowledge of mechanical control systems and PLC’s
Experience writing manufacturing documentation: SOPs, maintenance guides, etc.
Strong written, verbal, presentation and organizational skills and problem solving skills
Experience in cell manufacturing, roll to roll manufacturing equipment, automated mechanical assembly

The expected base salary range for this position is between
$128,200.00 - $192,400.00The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

This compensation and benefits information is based on Lyten’s estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. We generally do not negotiate on salary once we have made an offer. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
