The eProcurement Team Leader will be responsible for coordinating and executing day-to-day operations of the Coupa Systems Admin team in Manila to ensure that helpdesk tickets raised related to Coupa inquiries are attended on-time, and to attend and provide necessary supporting documents related to audits.

The role will be based in Manila and is responsible for managing, coaching and developing a team-based culture, driving change and improvement initiatives, establishing, communicating and implementing short, medium to long terms plans to ensure that Abbott’s targets described within the key performance indicators and "Best in Class" performance levels are achieved in all areas. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Activities)

  • Responsible for the Performance management of the team, ensuring that goals are set and that team members receive relevant and timely feedback on an ongoing basis.
  • Organizing the workload for the team and ensuring that the right resources are available and trained to the highest standard.
  • Responsible for the Induction and training of new team members ensuring that the highest levels of training are delivered and measured.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement to streamline processes and implement IT/SAP/Coupa functionality that will increase efficiencies to improve our customer’s experience.
  • Supports the realization of KPI’s and reports to management to deliver   clear data on the performance of the Coupa Systems Admin team.
  • Maintain and grow personal knowledge and skills, technical and / or product knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain areas of expertise in product specialisms required for the role; sharing and expanding knowledge within the Purchasing team.
  • Ensure training policy, procedures and activities support Abbott’s QMS requirements in accordance with ISO 13485.
  • Work as part of a team to promote Continuous Improvement to ensure that the best solutions for the customer are delivered in the most cost effective and efficient manner.
  • Facilitate system-oriented activities including user adoption, training, organizational communications, system testing, configurations, and application roll-out.
  • Actively seek feedback regarding system performance, best practices, functionality, and enhancements; recommend opportunities for system and process improvement. Present E-Procurement capabilities to internal stakeholders and translate their requirements into feasible solutions.
  • Analyzes existing systems or procedures and identifies technical or procedural improvements.
  • Create Business Scope and Business Requirements documentation.
  • Develops operational procedures for products, services, and systems. Leads the development of work processes, procedures, and workflow.
  • Review Coupa upgrade release notes, understand their implications, and adapt them to fit the specific needs of the Company.
  • Assists in the definition of Purchasing Operations reporting requirements and design of reporting processes.
  • Lead and drive action plans to increase operational productivity, process scalability and compliance.
  • Build customizations using extensions and scripts to meet business needs.
  • Actively identify opportunities to leverage Coupa functionality to improve efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and debug production issues.
  • Assist with internal and external audit exams, as required.
  • Working on special projects that result from control testing, risk assessments, user feedback or management committee issues related to the system and/or other operational risk issue.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Working experience with SAP, Coupa or other ERP/MRP system.
  • Strong understanding of process review and measurement methodologies.
  • Strong business analytical skills.
  • Desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction and support service delivery.
  • Awareness and understanding of Statutory and/or Regulatory Compliance and Quality requirements.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.

Dimensions – Education / Experience / Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Industrial Engineer is preferred) and 5 or more years relevant experience in a purchasing organization required.
  • Basic experience in procurement functions and solid understanding of how e-Commerce system works and with broad experience with excel and SharePoint applications.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or Business Management concepts preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and good business judgment.
  • Effective communicator, both articulate & verbally presentable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to achieve results through influencing others and maintaining strong links with other departments.
