As a Personal Lines Auto and Home insurance Licensed Agent you will be responsible for providing comprehensive insurance solutions, evaluating risk and confidently ask for the sale while overcoming objections.

The starting pay for this position will be $23/hr.

We are a metric driven, pay-for-performance, award winning sales organization. Potential to earn lucrative rewards, including monthly, quarterly, and annual pay-outs along with sales incentives and contests. Average monthly earnings of $500+, top monthly earners can exceed $2000. 

Start Date: Monday, October 21, 2024

Training Hours/Schedule:  

  • Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 6:00 pm EST, for the 1st 10 weeks of employment. Time off during training is not accommodated. 

Post Training Hours/Schedule: 

This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement.  Candidates who live near one of our office locations (San Antonio, TX, Hartford, CT) will have the expectation of working in an office during the week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

Opportunity for up to a 15% shift differential for weekend hours and Spanish-English Bilingual skillset, post certification. 

Remote-Work from Home  

  • Monday - Friday 11:30 am - 8:00 pm local time & every other Saturday 9:30 am-6:00 pm EST  

Hybrid  

  • Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 6:00 pm local time (hybrid-in office: T, W, Th) & every other Saturday 9:30 am-6:00 pm EST  

Qualifications:  

  • Active license to sell auto and home insurance in your state of residence required. 
  • 2 + years proven track record in sales and comfort with negotiating and overcoming objections. 
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment including up to 20-25 inbound calls per day. 
  • You must obtain and maintain all state licenses and terminate all prior carrier relationships as applicable. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaborative as part of a team. 
  • Internet: High speed broadband cable internet service with minimum upload/download speeds of 100MB download/10MB upload and your Internet provider supplied device is to be hard-wired to the Hartford issued router and/or computer.   • This is a customer-facing role which requires your full attention with our customers. A distraction free environment is required. 

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$42,720 - $64,080

The posted salary range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
