Patient and Marketplace Corp. Affairs:  Within C4, the Patient and Marketplace Corp. Affairs team is accountable for delivering patient-facing digital companions and external marketplace solutions to increase customer value and simplify specialty pharma services to ensure patients can acquire Pfizer breakthroughs.​

The Patient Support Services (PSS) Program Management (Primary Care Business Unit) Sr Program Manager will be part of the US Market Access Patient Support Services at Pfizer Digital. The person will work with the Program Management Lead and cross-functional teams to plan, develop, and commercialize state of the art Digital Health technologies supporting our patients and customers. The Sr Program Manager will support programs of small to medium scope, or a significant subsection of a large program. Further, the Sr Program Manager will support Financial Planning and Budgeting, month-to-month budget reconciliation and risk management. 

The primary purpose of the Sr Program Manager is to provide leadership and oversight to continuously deliver digital experiences across customer types. The customer types could include Patients and Caregivers, Healthcare Professionals, organized customers like Hospitals or Pharmacies, or internal Pfizer colleagues.

The individual filling this role is expected to manage project resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets technical and business requirements.

Role Responsibilities

Subject Matter Expertise - General

  • Leads/ Co-Leads teams to ensure that all projects are delivered within scope, budget and schedule in accordance with Pfizer Digital Lifecycle processes. Liaise with stakeholders to manage and control changes to project parameters.

  • •Works independently to review projects/programs against business case when completed to ensure projected benefits are being realized.

Strategic Leadership & Delivery

  • Support PSS Program Management Office (PMO) governance across all the PSS Ecosystem (Portals, Polaris, PSSP, Patient Insights) 

  • Apply advanced knowledge on PM practices to provide leadership and guidance on project planning, execution and implementation activities.

  • Identify opportunities to implement industry best practices for effective project delivery.

  • Manage Leadership Communications activities.  

  • Identify and help clear barriers to maintain effective and timely progress. 

  • Establish a robust decision-making model for selecting objective, optimal and prompt decisions for any issues raised.

Resource and Financial Management

  • Collaborate with PSS Digital Leads and Product Managers to manage individual program budget and submit all required information and entries in time for budget approvals.

  • Apply technical and line knowledge to drive technical delivery cost savings targets through effective project estimation.

Cross- Team Collaboration

  • Support Program Management Lead with activities across numerous Specialty Business Unit functions to meet the objectives of a given program including scope, budget, and schedule.

  • Establish stakeholder communication strategy using a variety of communication tools to ensure timely and effective communication on progress, risks/ mitigation and accomplishments.

  • Develop plans with core members to eliminate and/or mitigate risk.  If risks cannot be mitigated within the core team, determine appropriate means to communicate and elevate issues to appropriate individuals within the organization. 

  • Manage cross BU and Leadership Communications activities.  

  
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Basic Qualifications – Must Have

  • Bachelor of Science degree (Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering or Technology Management preferred).

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience, preferably in pharmaceutical industry.

  • Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in Patient Support Services.

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of Patient services landscape - Pharmacy operations, Copay support, HUB support, Third party Patient Support Services.

  • High proficiency and proven successful delivery of experiences using Agile development, especially scaled agile and lean techniques and methodologies (Disciplined Agile, SAFe, etc.)

  • 3+ years of collaborating with and managing cross-functionals teams including business subject matter experts, technical experts and compliance teams for project execution.

  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience understanding business requirements, technical concepts and business processes.

  • Strong facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills.

  • Strong working knowledge on MS Tools – Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

Nice to Have

PMP Certification, Agile Training/Certification - e.g. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is preferred.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Travel (15% – 25%), may be required as part of this role. Expectations around travel will vary but candidates must be capable of travel within the region, to other regions, to corporate partner locations, and to Pfizer World Headquarters in New York. 

Non-standard work hours may be required based on project deliverables and business needs

Work Location Assignment: Must be able to work in assigned Pfizer office 2-3 days per week, or as needed by the business

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300.00 to $195,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
