Job Description Summary:

Works under the direction of Dir Safety, Environment of Care & Emergency Mgmt and is responsible for monitoring and improving the Environment of Care and Safety program at a hospital campus. Monitors and maintains the hospitals compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, EPA and state and local regulations pertaining to safety, fire safety and environmental protection.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree: SafetyCHSP - Certified Healthcare Safety Professional - International Board for Certification of Safety Managers

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

• Field of Study: a safety related discipline / Industrial Hygiene and 3 Years of Experience in the management of healthcare safety.
• Recent Life safety Code certificate.
• Experience in the application of JCAHO Environment of Care standards.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Years of healthcare safety management Experience may be substituted for BS degree
