About you and this role –

Exciting opportunity for a Process Containment Equipment (PCE) Engineer located in Seadrift, TX.  S/he provides specialized technical support and solutions for project teams, operations, and maintenance.  In this role, you provide technical expertise which includes Equipment Design Specifications, Fitness for Service Evaluation, and development of equipment repair plans.

Responsibilities –

  • Apply engineering principles and make independent technical decisions and recommendations.
  • Provide technical expertise in pressure vessel, heat exchanger and other fixed equipment failure evaluations and associated repair techniques.
  • Perform code calculations for re-rates or fitness for service evaluations on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other fixed equipment.
  • Prepare specification packages and review drawings, welding procedures and code calculations for new pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
  • Exchange technical information with peers, other engineering disciplines, plant operations, maintenance teams, and suppliers.
  • Provide engineering field support on construction projects when requested by the Owner’s Representative or plant.
  • Work closely with API Inspectors and provides field support on fixed equipment repairs as needed.
  • Continue to drive Site Fixed Asset Integrity Management program.
  • Supports Plant Assessment Teams on complex repair plans and reviews QC Plans
  • Provides a clear focus on creating a highly reliable organizational culture and the elimination of unplanned events by implementing reliability and maintenance services and solutions.

Qualifications – .

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of reliability, engineering, manufacturing or related experience is required.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications –

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred.
  • Has knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure codes, API standards, and other mechanical engineering related industry standards.
  • Has applicable training and experience in performing Level 1 and Level 2 Fitness for Service evaluations.
  • Has the ability to plan and organize work effectively while working on several projects simultaneously.
  • Good written and oral communication skills. The job includes leading/facilitating team and group meetings as well as interacting with project teams, vendors and inspectors.
  • Good interpersonal skills and function successfully in a collaborative environment.
  • Planning and organizational skills to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail necessary to maintain the required documentation.
