Program Overview

Toyota Product Planning & Strategy (PPS) is hiring MBA interns for our Plano, TX headquarters. This 12-week summer intensive is designed to give interns exposure to one of Toyota’s key product strategy groups. Interns will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across the department’s teams, including:

  • Advanced Product Strategy: Responsible for defining our future vehicle lineup by identifying powertrain, technology, color and materials strategies that meet our customer’s needs  
  • BEV and Mobility Strategy (BEVMo): Responsible for realizing our customer’s ideal electrification experience and for developing new mobility product strategies
  • Product Planning: Responsible for understanding and translating customer needs into effective life-cycle management and launch strategies for current and new-to-market vehicles that delight our customers
  • Pricing: Responsible for developing and implementing market-based pricing strategies for all Toyota and Lexus vehicles

During this 12-week internship you will:

  • Collaborate on group projects such as: future vehicle market studies, sales trend analysis, competitor analysis, segmentation studies, and vehicle positioning strategies
  • Lead a set of individual projects developed with your work team
  • Present key project insights to Toyota executive leadership
  • Receive one-on-one coaching and mentorship from a variety of corporate leaders
  • Attend an executive speaker series exclusive to MBA summer interns
  • Participate in exciting, off-site learning experiences (“Genchi Genbutsu”) to deeply understand the automotive industry

  • Experience in data and market analysis
  • Concise, persuasive storytelling skills supported by strong data and market analysis
  • Interest in the automotive industry

Qualifications

To be considered, qualified candidates must have:

  • Completed the first year of an MBA program by Summer 2025
  • Minimum 2.7 GPA
  • 2+ consecutive years of professional pre-MBA work experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Lawful unlimited authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
