Position Summary
Manage the daily activities of the law clinic and externship programs associated with the School of Law’s Clinical Education Program. Works closely with students, professors and clients assisting with daily requests. Primary “face” of the Clinical Education Program.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages all administrative aspects of a working law office. Answers incoming phone calls, works at the front desk greeting guests, file management.
Law Clinic Office
- Handling all administrative aspects of a working law office for the law clinics/externships assigned: travel arrangements, form generation, copying, mailing, report generation, scheduling, time-keeping, answering phone calls and staffing main clinic reception area.
- Maintaining electronic case files for assigned clinics and externships.
- Works directly with students and clinic Professors assisting in the day-to-day activities of an active law firm.
Student Coordination
- Works with all students enrolled in assigned law clinics/externships and support them as needed in daily office tasks.
- Helps orient new students as required each semester.
- Works with clinic faculty to create/distribute student materials.
- Maintains open relationships with students and assist with problems/situations.
- Serves as a liaison between the students and faculty.
- Creates, updates, and maintains student manuals for assigned law clinics and externships.
- Assists with clinic projects and events as needed.
Additional Functions
- Serves as back up to other law clinics and externships.
- Leads or assists with Clinical Education Program projects as assigned, including but not limited to, information fairs, events, and conferences.
- Provides the highest level of support to assigned faculty, students.
- Supports Clinical Education Program growth and improved efficiency.
- Assists in Clinical Program registration, graduation, student exams, and other duties as needed.
- Assists the overall law school with events and projects as needed.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range
$19.29 - $29.91 / Hourly
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
