Technical Product Support (TPS) Engineer

Applied Materials India is looking for Technical Product Support Engineers for Process Diagnostics and Control (PDC) products.

Our PDC products comprise advanced imaging hardware- Deep UV Imaging, Scanning Electron Microscopy, and cutting-edge software to detect, measure and classify nanometer size defects from semiconductor fabrication process steps.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support onsite: diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment
  • Responsible for all aspects of technical support for customers: escalations, fleet performance, proactive activities, system install schedules, programs and upgrades
  • Captures and collects issues and reports design, reliability and maintenance problems to design engineering
  • Attends Customer Field Issues meetings and presents updates on field issue resolution actions.
  • Supports NPI (New Product Introduction) at key customers
  • Conducts CE training as needed

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor/Masters in Electrical/Mechanical Engg
  • Hands on experience in troubleshooting complex hardware equipment
  • Open to 60% travel to leading semiconductor chip manufacturing fabs overseas
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team, and ability to work independently
