Reporting to the Terminal Operations Manager, you will be the point of contact for day-to-day operations and maintenance activities for the team in light oils. You will work with the area maintenance coordinator, operators and engineers to ensure operational and maintenance concerns are handled in a risk based prioritized manner.Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 8 years of working experience as a Power Engineer
3rd Class Power Engineering certification (or higher)
High level of technical experience related to refinery processes and equipment
Ability to interpret British Columbia Safety Code Regulation, which includes TSBC Codes and others
A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
You have proven safety focused and growth mindset as well as proven dedication to operational excellence (safety, people, sustainability and reliability)
Prior supervisory experience in a unionized environment
Responsibilities:
Ensure all operating crews are kept informed of issues that impact equipment performance or availability
Provide guidance and expertise to achieve optimized operation while reaching production targets
Communicate daily operating instructions, activities and key performance measures at the daily area team meeting with emphasis on safe work execution
Provide daily operating instruction to crews, ensuring all operating targets are being met and equipment is ready for maintenance, as scheduled
Review, accept/refuse and prioritize all SAP notifications and ensure requests are adequate in detail
Assist in the development of work scope for light oils unit shutdowns
Develop safe work plans for high risk or non-routine maintenance activities
Provide cross functional team expertise for incident investigations
Communicate to production planning and other refinery operating areas of any operating issues which may impact their ability to meet production targets or impact reliability
Conduct qualification testing for operating technicians enrolled in the technician progression program
Ensure that the operations personnel for all the equipment are certified, properly trained and that the appropriate staffing numbers are compliant.
Ensure that all equipment is inspected regularly according to the TSBC regulations and review inspection records with the TSBC Lead Inspector on a quarterly basis
Ensure that all equipment has an effective maintenance/inspection strategy that compliments its reliability and personnel safety
Ensure that all equipment operating procedures are reviewed and approved every three-five years
Responsible for meeting license requirements as per operating approval
Ensure that reporting standards are communicated to maintenance and operations personnel
Location and other Key Details:
You will work out of our Burrard Products terminal office located at 1155 Glenayre Drive, Port Moody, BC
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs.

Salary and Compensation Details:
$120,000 - $140,000 annual salary and an annual incentive program
