What You Will Do:
Within the Johnson Controls’ Global Products business unit, the Global Operations supply chain organization is responsible for more than 90 manufacturing plants and distribution centers which have over $900 million of annual freight and warehouse spending.

Within Global Operations, this role supports the Europe and Middle-East Logistics and Distribution (L&D) organization by providing informative, relevant, and timely financial analysis on monthly performance, forward looking budgets and forecasts, and operational initiatives. This individual ensures that financial management reporting provides insight into operational metrics and their financial impacts for 3 primary and 6 secondary distribution centers with $25 million of annual warehouse cost as well as $60 million of freight spending within the EMEA region.

During this year, there will be 2 ERP implementations to move the current legacy system to Oracle and SAP. This role will be a key team member to represent EMEA L&D in the Finance value stream to ensure correct financial processes and master data. Hereby it is key to map the current financial processes (JDE) to understand the current operating model and propose improvements. This will determine the requirements for the new ERP financial set up. We are looking for an experienced finance professional with ERP implementation, strong RTR accounting understanding and drive for continuous improvement & excellence execution.


How You Will Do It:

Development of regional L&D plan and forecasts

  • Ensures integrity of numbers submitted, supporting assumptions, and alignment to enterprise objectives
  • Communicates and explain forecast assumptions and methodology in a transparent manner to site and regional L&D leadership as well as Product Business Units

Prepares in-depth financial and operational analysis of regional L&D financial results

  • Completes financial bridges on actual to plan, forecast, and prior year
  • Ensures accuracy and quality of data used by the regional L&D management team

Supports a strong controls and governance environment

  • Assists with internal and external audits at distribution sites within the region
  • Takes a pro-active approach to find gaps in financial controls and governance
  • Conducts balance sheet reviews in conjunction with shared service centers
  • Provides financial oversight to the cycle count processes, partner with site leaders to organize and coordinate the annual physical inventory counts where necessary

Provides financial leadership on cross functional projects.  Projects will include:

  • L&D locations and optimizing distribution points, inventory levels, and transportation Deployment of freight audit & pay processes Development of capital expenditure investments requests, reporting of spending, and validation of savings achievement

Support business cases and complete ad hoc projects and tasks as required
 

What We Look For:

  • Bachelors/Master Degree in finance & control (or local equivalent) with 5+ years experience
  • Dutch and English Language skills at professional level
  • Solid industry experience in finance department of a large multi-national company
  • Continuous improvement attitude.  Ability to communicate and influence change.  Pro-active.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, problem solving skills
  • Be able to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues and to build strong working relationships with both the operations and finance teams
  • Individual system skills, particularly Excel, OneStream, PowerBI and SAP.
